PopChar X is a pop-up window that can float on top of other windows and display a table of various symbols the user can insert into any document. Besides standard letters and numbers, the keyboard contains many other symbols that are commonly used but not always easy to insert into text.
PopChar X works with all modern applications that support Unicode, simplifying navigation and searching among fonts containing thousands of characters. Search for characters by name, find fonts containing specific symbols, explore a font’s character set, collect your favorite symbols, and insert HTML symbols. PopChar simplifies all font-related tasks.
Many of them require you to remember complex keyboard shortcuts you simply don’t know. That’s why PopChar is so useful. It lets you insert special characters into text on the fly, without wasting time trying out different keyboard shortcuts or searching online. Simply select the desired character with your mouse, and you can copy it anywhere—be it a text editor or email client. You can launch the program with a specific keyboard shortcut and close it immediately after entering the character.
How to install and activate?
Mount the image and run Open Gatekeeper friendly.
Press Enter to bypass Gatekeeper in the Terminal window.
Drag the application to the Applications folder.
The application is ready for use.
