Football Manager — a World Cup save on the Mac
Football Manager 26.3.2 for Mac — World CupThe full Sports Interactive desktop sim on Steam, Epic, or the Microsoft Store: you run a club, a women’s side, or a national team, then live in the Portal between inbox, tactics, and match day.
New game, then pick the dugout
A Mac install is the same long-season game as Windows. You create a manager, bookmark the screens you actually open, and set In Possession and Out of Possession shapes before you kick a ball. Match day is the Unity 3D pitch; the rest of the week is recruitment, the TransferRoom board, and the inbox. For the 2026 tournament you can start on a World Cup date instead of grinding a domestic calendar first: take a nation, cut a provisional group toward twenty-six names, or skip straight to the confirmed tournament rosters. Dual jobs (club plus country) and Hotseat still exist if you want two managers in one save. This is not Football Manager 26 Touch on Apple Arcade that is a separate, lighter SKU.
Licensing is the usual SI mix. The Premier League ships with official badges, kits, and player photos; women’s football is a set of playable leagues in the same world, not a spin-off. International management came back after launch; this desktop file is the one that finishes the expanded forty-eight-team World Cup so every qualifier is a job you can take with a licensed kit. Squads are a snapshot dated 1 June later cuts, injuries, and call-ups are not in the file. Steam lists Denuvo Anti-tamper on the store page. The In-Game Editor is a separate $8.99 add-on if you want to edit players instead of living with the database.
Sixty dollars and a Unity Mac
The desktop game is $59.99. Steam’s Mac floor is macOS 11 (through Sequoia in the store list) with an Apple M1 or Intel Core M, 4 GB of RAM, and about 20 GB free; SI recommends Ventura or newer and 12 GB if you want a big database and a heavier 3D match. Older Intel Macs that only meet the Core M line will need Low graphics and patience. You update by quitting Steam or Epic and relaunching so the client pulls the patch.
When FM24 still fits
Stay on an older FM if you want the pre-Unity interface and a quieter launch. Use Touch if you only have an iPad or Arcade and do not need the full desktop database. Use this if you want the licensed World Cup on a Mac and will live with a rebuilt UI. Version 26.3.2 (build 2329565) is the desktop file where every qualifier is on the job list same Unity Mac client, finished international roster.
