A Mac utility that adds a temporary drag-and-drop shelf at the screen edge, so you can stash files, images, and text snippets without holding the mouse button while hunting for the destination window.
Moving items between Finder windows, Spaces, and fullscreen apps is awkward on macOS because drag operations lock your hand to the trackpad or mouse. Yoink appears when you start dragging and offers a shelf where dropped content waits until you are ready. You navigate freely, then drag items out to Mail, Slack, a design app, or another folder. The shelf accepts Finder files, images from websites, text selections, and other draggable app content, making it useful for collecting assets from a browser before dropping them into a project file.
How do I install and activate?
Run the downloaded image and drag the application to the Applications folder shortcut.
Once the copy is complete, you can launch the application from Launchpad.
