Spectro 1.5.3 for Mac
Spectro 1.5.3 MacOS
A native Mac checker that tells you whether WAV, AIFF, FLAC, or ALAC files still carry a lossy encode, instead of asking you to read every spectrogram by eye.
A lossless container only preserves whatever audio you put into it. Decode an MP3, wrap it as FLAC or WAV, and DJ software will treat it as clean lossless because it trusts the extension. At club volume the missing top end often sounds dull. This app runs FFT analysis locally, finds the spectral cutoff, and returns LOSSLESS, FAKE, or MEDIUM with a confidence score, estimated cutoff, and a one-line diagnosis. Audio stays on the Mac; analysis does not need a network. License checks go through Lemon Squeezy. Optional product analytics exist in current builds; you can keep the scan itself fully local.
