Parallels Desktop 27.0.1 58670
Parallels Desktop 27.0.1 58670 for Mac
On Apple silicon Macs, this hypervisor runs Windows or Linux guests alongside macOS built for daily reliance on ARM or emulated x86 Windows apps, CAD suites, and Linux stacks that lack native Mac ports.
Installing a guest and picking a view mode
After a short setup wizard, Parallels can install Windows 11 ARM from an ISO or migrate an existing VM. The guest appears in its own window, full screen, or Coherence mode, where individual Windows programs sit on the Mac desktop like native apps with their own Dock icons. Shared folders, clipboard, and drag-and-drop bridge the two systems, so files move between macOS and the guest without manual export steps.
Standard Edition caps a VM at 8 GB RAM and four virtual CPUs, which covers Office, browsers, and light business software. Pro and Business raise those limits to 128 GB RAM and up to 18 virtual CPUs on Apple silicon, adding developer networking tools and higher headroom for compile or simulation jobs. Pro is subscription-only; Standard also offers a one-time perpetual license that locks you to the purchased major version unless you pay for an upgrade later.
Apple silicon, ARM Windows, and free alternatives
Version 27 is an Apple silicon–native app and does not install on Intel Macs those machines stay on Parallels Desktop 26 with ongoing security updates per the vendor. On M-series hardware, Parallels is Microsoft-authorized to run Windows 11 for ARM, which covers most productivity apps but not every legacy x86-only binary without emulation overhead. UTM is free and open source; VMware Fusion is free for personal use but requires a paid license for commercial work—Parallels targets buyers who want guided Windows setup, Coherence window integration, and vendor phone or email support.
The host requires macOS Sonoma 14.7+, Sequoia 15.5+, Tahoe 26.0+, or Golden Gate 27.0+; Ventura 13 is excluded from version 27 installs. Internet access is needed for activation, updates, and some license checks. Boot Camp conversion, Travel mode, and direct Bluetooth passthrough to guests were removed in the version 27 line Bluetooth devices paired to the Mac still work, but dedicated dongle passthrough needs USB instead.
