A native Mac tag editor for cleaning up large music, podcast, and video libraries by editing metadata, embedded artwork, and filenames in bulk instead of opening each track in a player or iTunes-style inspector.
Developer Florian Heidenreich brought Mp3tag’s long-running Windows workflow to macOS as a separate App Store and standalone app built for batch operations. Drag folders of tracks into the file list, edit tags in the panel or inline, and apply changes to hundreds of files at once. Supported formats include MP3, MP4, M4V, MKV, FLAC, OGG, Opus, AIFF, DSF, MPC, WV, and WAV according to the vendor.
How do I install and activate?
Mount the image and launch Open Gatekeeper Friendly.
Press Enter to bypass Gatekeeper in the Terminal window.
Drag the application to the Applications folder.
The application is ready to use.
