LanScan 8.2.14 for Mac
LanScan 8.2.14 MacOS
Subnet scanner that walks your Wi‑Fi or Ethernet range and builds a live table of every responding device with IP, MAC, vendor, and hostname columns you can sort, annotate, and export.
Launch LanScan and it auto-detects active interfaces,Airport, Ethernet, or virtual adapters and suggests the local subnet to scan. Start a run and the app probes the range: ARP on your LAN for fast discovery, or ping, SMB, and mDNS when you aim at a public IP block you typed in manually. Rows fill in as hosts answer, showing up to four resolved hostnames per device through DNS, Bonjour, or Windows SMB naming. A vendor string comes from the embedded MAC address database updated regularly through App Store releases. You can rename devices with custom labels, attach comments for inventory notes, hide columns you do not need, and export the grid to CSV for spreadsheets or security audits.
