HoudahSpot 6.8.3 for Mac
HoudahSpot 6.8.3 MacOS
Spotlight-powered file search with stacked criteria, folder scopes, and inline previews targets the moment Finder returns noise instead of the document, photo, or invoice you actually need.
HoudahSpot builds on the system Spotlight index rather than crawling the disk on its own. Type in the quick search field or add criteria for name, text content, extension, tags, dates, file size, image resolution, authors, and hundreds of other columns Spotlight exposes. Boolean groups let you require any, all, or none of a set of conditions, and named snippets can be dragged into new searches when you repeat the same filters. Location scopes search multiple folders at once while excluding others useful when you want your home directory but not Music, yet still need matches inside a nested iTunes folder.
