Simple Cutting Software X is our best-in-class rectangular (2D) optimization engine with a simple and effective interface. Designed for hobbyists, home users, and startups, it runs on multiple operating systems: Windows, macOS/OSX, and Linux.

Peculiarities:

– 2D guillotine optimization – cuts are made from one side of the material to the other. This feature is especially useful for glass, wood, thermal glass, etc.

– Manual layout after optimization – you can change the layout by moving, adding and deleting fragments with the mouse.

– Any measurement metric—the way you enter data—is general. You don’t need to specify the metric. Simply choose a metric in your mind and enter all data using only that metric.

– Fractional Input – You can enter either real values, such as 100.5, or fractional values, such as 100 1/2. You can set the precision for fractions in the menu settings. Do not mix real values with a decimal separator (“.”) with fractional values. Choose one style and stick to it.
