iClip is a clipboard recorder that saves everything you copy—plain text, formatted text, images, files, whatever. Access your clipping history in iClip’s beautiful interface.
Simplicity and power
One of the key factors behind iClip’s popularity is its simplicity and ease of use.
First, iClip was designed to be as easy to access as the Dock on a Mac. Simply move your cursor to the edge of the screen, and iClip will instantly open for use.
To access iClip, you can…
– Drag and drop into documents and back.
– Click the arrows next to each basket to copy and paste to/from documents with one click.
– Go beyond the simple with powerful, customizable hotkeys (shortcuts).
Style and design
If you value careful design and a robust user interface, you’ll love iClip.
Hover over a clip’s bin to display a pop-up preview of the clip’s contents.
Rich functionality and customization options
Imagine if ice cream only came in one flavor. Not much fun, huh? Tweak iClip’s settings and go beyond vanilla.
– Choose the position of the iClip screen that is most convenient for your work.
– Try different skins, shapes and sizes of baskets.
– Adjust the transparency to your liking.
– and much, much more…
Going Pro with a Keyboard
iClip isn’t just about looks. As easy as iClip is to use with a mouse, we haven’t forgotten about keyboard users either.
You can use almost all of iClip’s features using just your keyboard. Efficiently copy and paste in iClip without lifting your hands from the keyboard.
Storage and organization
For repetitive tasks, such as filling out web forms, you can organize your saved clips into multiple sets and have them instantly ready for insertion.
You can have a clip art set for each project you work on and store various things in it, such as web addresses, frequently used clip art like logos, code snippets, etc.
If you frequently respond to emails with tons of similar responses, you can use iClip to store them. Having all these elements within a single click or keystroke allows you to handle these tasks quickly and efficiently.
Customization with AppleScript, JavaScript, Automator, and Services
Do you need special processing for certain clipboard contents when copying them to iClip, such as writing additional information or clearing data? Do you want to add custom operations to modify selected clippings, such as converting all text to lowercase? iClip supports scripting in both AppleScript and JXA (JavaScript for Applications). For more information, see iClip Scripting.
