Ethernet Status: LAN Monitor 6.0 for Mac
Ethernet Status: LAN Monitor 6.0 for Mac Free Download
A lightweight menu bar utility for macOS that adds the wired Ethernet indicator Apple omits by default, with color-coded connection state, IP details, and live upload and download speeds.
macOS shows Wi‑Fi in the menu bar but not Ethernet link status. Ethernet Status: LAN Monitor fills that gap with a green, yellow, or red icon: connected with internet, linked without internet, or disconnected. Open the menu to read IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, MAC address, public IP, and per-adapter speeds without opening System Settings.
Beyond built-in Ethernet, the app tracks Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth PAN, iPhone or iPad USB tethering, FireWire, and Thunderbolt network interfaces based on system priority. Copy IP or MAC values from the dropdown, monitor multiple adapters, and optionally hear voice alerts when connectivity changes. Data usage counters reset on reboot per the vendor note.
