cyberWriter 3.995
cyberWriter 3.995 for Mac
Keep a folder of Markdown notes on disk, edit in WYSIWYG or split view, and export without Pandoc.
Point the app at a folder of notes
On first launch you choose or create a vault a normal folder of .md files, not a proprietary database. Point it at a Markdown folder you already keep elsewhere; wikilinks, backlinks, tags, and frontmatter stay as you wrote them. Command-1 through Command-3 switch among source, a synced split preview, or preview alone. Type formatted text in WYSIWYG while the file on disk remains Markdown. When a report needs figures, drop an image on its own line so it becomes a captioned figure, then export PDF, Word, or HTML with the same render engine no Pandoc or LaTeX install.
Graph, GLOW, and a model you bring
Wikilinks become a 3D knowledge graph you can orbit. GLOW is a vault-jailed terminal (Control-backtick): list and search notes, follow backlinks, and send an AI prompt that plans file changes before you apply them. Deletes go to Trash. The vendor lists no plugin folder diagrams, math, charts, graph, canvas, and terminal ship inside the signed binary. AI is optional: Apple Intelligence on newer macOS, a local Ollama or LM Studio model, or your own cloud key. Prompts do not pass through uncSoft. Cloud providers see only what you send. Keep confidential notes out of any cloud model you attach.
Sequoia, two stores, one-time key
Official floor is macOS 15 on Apple Silicon and Intel. The Direct GitHub tag 3.995 (11 Sep 2026) is signed and notarized; that page lists a 14-day trial and a LemonSqueezy key (listed at $17.99). The product site and Mac App Store still advertise $14.99 on a 3.97 Store build. Setapp also lists a standalone copy and was still on 3.95. Mac and iOS are separate $14.99 purchases. Older README text still says a 7-day trial follow the Direct release page for this build.
