Automatic malware definition updates ensure you’re protected against the latest threats, and scheduled scans let you monitor your computer’s security even when you’re away. When it comes to privacy threats, MacScan can automatically remove blacklisted tracking cookies or clean up files left behind by popular web browsers, saving disk space and removing personal data.
Features:
– Malware threat protection. Avoid malware. MacScan offers four unique malware scanning methods, including the new Intelligent Scan feature, which targets known malware hiding spots, saving time and computer resources.
– Internet Clutter Cleaner: Remove unnecessary files left behind by web browsers to free up valuable hard drive space and remove personal data. Advanced cleaning options give you complete control and customization when it comes to protecting your privacy.
– Scheduled scanning and automatic cleaning. MacScan has a built-in scan scheduler, giving you complete control over when to automatically run scans and allowing you to schedule different scans to run at different times. If you’re looking for a quick solution to tracking cookies, MacScan has an automatic cookie cleaning feature that will target and remove blacklisted tracking cookies when you’re finished using the internet, leaving all other cookies in place—no user interaction required!
– Malware definition updates: MacScan automatically checks for malware definition updates before each scan, so you can easily stay up-to-date with protection against the latest Mac malware threats targeting OS X.
– Enhanced tracking cookie cleaning capabilities. MacScan is equipped with the ability to detect a huge number of known tracking cookies (over 25,000 and growing!), and the database is regularly updated. If there are certain cookies you want to keep or those you always want to delete, you can now specify a custom whitelist and blacklist for cookies on your system.
