VueScan is a program for scanning HP, Minolta, Nikon, Polaroid, Epson, Canon, and other scanners. It supports native color depth. VueScan supports automatic and manual adjustment of most parameters, as well as batch scanning.

Over 6,000 scanner models are supported, with a bias toward slide scanners—Nikon, Minolta, Polaroid, Microtek, and Epson. Automatic image defect removal is provided using an infrared scanning channel, as well as multi-pass scanning with subsequent averaging of the results to suppress the scanner’s own noise.

Filters for grain suppression, soft-masking, and removal of unwanted color casts are available. Manual adjustments are also available for dynamic range and gradation characteristics (independently for R, G, and B channels).
