Scrivener is a word processor and project management tool designed for people who work with large amounts of text.
Scrivener combines the power of a word processor with organizer and project management features. All your notes, including individual text, photos, and ideas, will be conveniently organized and always at your fingertips. With this app, you can gather text, images, links, PDF documents, and even audio.
The app is designed to provide maximum opportunities and can be useful for various groups of people – writers, screenwriters, scientists, technical writers, journalists, and just students and schoolchildren.
Scrivener is most interesting as a data organizer. You can create as many projects as you like (for example, a project is a book). Within each project, folders are created to group data. For example, a folder could be a section of a book, including individual chapters.
Any work on a book requires research and additional material. When you create a new project in Scrivener, you automatically get a Research folder where you can store additional data. This can include not only text notes, but also PDFs, audio materials, and images.
Scrivener features automatic text saving, so your data won’t be lost in the event of a power outage. But even more importantly, it features a snapshot system. This allows you to maintain multiple versions of a document and roll back to an older version if necessary. Snapshots can be taken for the entire note or for specific sections.
How to install and activate?
Mount the image and run Open Gatekeeper friendly.
Press Enter to bypass Gatekeeper in the Terminal window.
Drag the application to the Applications folder.
The application is ready for use.
